You can access the Template Library using the Compliance Log Templates tab after clicking the Settings gear icon in the top right corner of RFX.

Inside the management area, you will find 5 tabs.

  1. Template Library

  2. Global Library

  3. Categories

  4. Access Roles

  5. Inventory

Template Library

The template library tab houses all your compliance log templates. Each template has the following options:

  1. Edit

  2. Delete

  3. Download QR Code – only visible if the template is active

Things to Know: You cannot delete templates if there are any log entries created for it. Instead, you will want to deactivate it by using the Edit (pencil) icon.

Global Library

The global library is a set of industry standard templates that are created and maintained by RFX. You can clone log templates from the global library into your own library to edit and use as needed.

You can view the details of the global template by clicking the Edit (pencil) icon in each row.

To clone one or more logs, click the checkbox next to each log you would like to clone. Next, click the Clone Selected Logs button at the top of the table to clone them. You can now edit and activate the logs in your template library.

Categories

Categories are used to organize your log templates. They are also used to drive permissions so you can segment different users into different categories.

In the table, you will have two options for each category.

  1. Edit

  2. Activate/Deactivate

The edit icon will let you change the category name but more importantly this is where you will assign access roles setup under the Access Roles tab.

Things to Know: Make sure you assign Access Roles once you set them up. If a user cannot see logs, be sure to double check their access roles and the categories.

Access Roles

The access roles tab controls the roles that are assigned to both log categories and to users in the system to control access to logs. You can add/edit/delete roles on this tab.

See Section 9: Permissions or more information on assigning roles to users.

Inventory

The inventory tab houses your database of inventory items that can be used in your log entries. There is a field data type for Inventory that lets you multi select items from your database during log entry.

Things to Know: The Inventory field allows you to add items that are missing during collection. Any inventory item added during the data collection process will automatically show up under this tab.
