Managing Missing Logs
When a log entry is not made by the due date and time, it will appear as both Overdue and Missing.
How to Access Missing Logs
- Navigate to the Missing Logs section on the Log Dashboard.
- Click on a log row to expand and view its details.
Managing Missing Logs:
- Option 1: Acknowledge the Missing Entry:
- Click the Missing Icon
to acknowledge the missing entry. This will remove it from the Overdue and Missing status but will not mark it as complete.
- A reason must be entered when acknowledging the entry.
- Click the Missing Icon
Helpful Hint: Logs may be missing and acknowledged because of a facility closure and/or because a staff member forgot to complete the log.
- Option 2: Enter the Log Information Without Acknowledging It:
- Click the pencil icon
to add the missing log details and to complete the entry.
- Each time a missing entry is made, the date and time it was completed will be recorded. This audit trail will be shown in the log details when viewing the entry and will also appear in any exported reports.
- Click the pencil icon
Helpful Hint: Logs may be missing and then entered later because a staff member forgot or was unable to complete the entry at the time indicated.
