Using QR Codes for Log Entry
RFX allows users to conveniently use QR codes throughout the facility to assist with log entry. QR codes can be downloaded, printed, and laminated for easy placement in various locations.
Helpful Hint: Some facilities have placed multiple QR codes on a single piece of paper and placed this on a wall so they can easily scan and enter data, rather than navigating to the logs in the app.
- Download and Print a QR Code:
- To download a QR code for an activated log, go to the Templates page by selecting Compliance Logs from the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Activate a Log:
- Click the white actions button in the row of the log and choose Edit Log Template.
- Click the blue Actions button at the top of the log and choose Activate at the top of the screen.
- Download QR Code:
- Once the log is activated, a QR icon will appear. Clicking this selection will automatically download an image of the QR code. The QR code image will include the log name for reference.
Scanning QR Codes
- Scan with Mobile Camera:
- Use your mobile camera to scan any of the QR codes.
- RFX Mobile App:
- If the RFX mobile app is installed on the device, scanning the QR code will open the app and take you directly to the corresponding log for data entry.
Helpful Hint: If a log entry already exists for the day, a warning will prompt the user.
Helpful Hint: If the user does not have permission to access the log, the app will prevent data entry and display an error message.
