Managing Provider Tabs

Tabs in a provider's file are the same as those in a staff member's file. This document is meant to help you navigate a provider's file.

For information on how to access the provider file and the Gap Analysis tab, refer to Viewing the Provider File

For details on how to name tabs and associate specific documents with them, see Setting Up the Provider Library

Helpful Hint: If a tab name is changed in the Provider Library, it will automatically update for all providers.

Any tab below the Gap Analysis tab is customized in the Provider Library. Documents are assigned to these tabs to help organize the provider’s file.

Each tab is organized the same way:

  • The document viewer is in the middle.
  • Active documents and the option to add documents are at the top right.
  • Pending documents (if any) are on the middle right.
  • Archived documents are at the bottom right.

The active and archived sections will still appear even if there are no documents in these areas.

Documents that are expired or near expiration will have a colored dot next to them for quick reference.

Active Documents

  • Click on the document name (in blue text) to open it in the document viewer.
  • Any dates related to the document will appear in the middle of the section (if applicable).
  • Users can edit the document, such as changing the privileging period, dates, description, or archiving it.
  • A document request can be made to the provider to obtain a new document. (See Requesting Documents.)
  • Documents can be archived directly by clicking the archive icon   .

Pending Documents (if present)

  • This section allows the user to quickly resend or cancel the provider's request by clicking Take Action.
  • This area also shows the last time the provider was contacted to obtain the document.
  • To comment on the pending document, click the Pending tab at the top of the provider’s file.

For information on how to manage the Pending documents, see Requesting Documents.

Archived Documents

  • The number of archived documents is shown in a colored box .
  • When expanded, users can edit or delete the document (as with active documents).

MUST KNOW! Deleted documents are permanent and cannot be recovered.
